چکیده

The ultraviolet (UV) emission from the most numerous stars in universe, M dwarfs, impacts formation, chemistry, atmospheric stability, and surface habitability of their planets. We have analyzed spectral evolution UV M0–M2.5 (0.3–0.6 M?) as a function age, rotation, Rossby number using Hubble Space Telescope observations Tucana-Horologium (40 Myr), Hyades (650 field (2–9 Gyr) objects. quiescent flux C ii, iii, iv, He N v, Si iv lines, formed stellar transition region, remains elevated at constant level for 240 ± 30 Myr before declining by 2.1 orders magnitude to an age 10 Gyr. Mg ii far-UV pseudocontinuum emission, chromosphere, exhibits more gradual with 1.3 1.7 magnitude, respectively. youngest exhibit scatter 0.1 dex line attributable only rotational modulation, long-term activity cycles, or unknown source variability. Saturation-decay fits these data can predict star's lines accuracy 0.2–0.3 dex, accurate means presently available. Predictions will be useful studying exoplanetary destruction abiotic production biologically relevant molecules interpreting infrared optical planetary spectra measured observatories like James Webb Telescope.

Rotation velocities of white dwarf stars ?

The narrow Hα line cores observed with the Keck high resolution spectrograph of thirteen hydrogen-rich (DA) white dwarfs are analysed using line blanketed Non-LTE model atmospheres. The synthetic line profiles reproduce the observed line cores very well. Hence no evidence for additional line broadening due to rotation or to magnetic fields can be found. Statistical upper limits to the projected...

Extreme Ultraviolet Emission from Neutron Stars

We summarize the detections of extreme ultraviolet (EUV) emission from neutron stars. Three rm detections have been made of spin-powered pulsars: the aged millisecond pulsar PSR J0437?4715, the middle-aged X-ray pulsar Geminga, and the radio pulsar PSR B0656+14. These observations allow us to evaluate both power-law and thermal-law emission models as the source of the EUV ux. For the case of PS...

Evolution of massive stars with rotation and mass loss

Rotation appears as a dominant effect in massive star evolution. It largely affects all the model outputs: inner structure, tracks, lifetimes, isochrones, surface compositions, blue to red supergiant ratios, etc. At lower metallicities, the effects of rotational mixing are larger; also, more stars may reach critical velocity, even if the initial distribution of rotational velocities is the same.
